MnHIT Program
In 2010, Normandale Community College was awarded an $800,000 portion of a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The funding enables the college to train 300 people over the next two years to meet a workforce need in the rapidly growing field of health information technology (MnHIT).
Minnesota Health Information Technology (MnHIT) program was offiicially launched on May 2010. The 6-month ARRA-HITECH funded MnHIT training program focused on job-specific trainimg or one of four workforce roles in the field of health information technology.
